Never actually booked it although I know someone else that has.
When I called to enquire they said Etihad releases 6 months out to Air NZ 😕
If you find anything else out would love to know.

Spoke to an agent today looking for awards in J from Dublin to Abu Dhabi and then onto Sydney a few days later.
The agent couldn't find any availability across any dates. I was put on hold for 20 minutes while she made enquiries and told me that she had checked with another team and was told they Air NZ is not getting anything released to them.
Shame.
