Greyed out seats in J

Hi

i am flying NZ 28 on Monday and been anxiously awaiting my RU to clear. I see there are 2 “free” seats, plus three seats that have no human outline in them. What do these represent please? I have never seen them before. Thanks

ExpertFlyer shows all J seats occupied except 4A and 5A which are blocked, presumably for Load Control to assign.

I also see with a dummy booking that 9A/K are available (both bassinet positions), and that 12 J and 12K are also greyed out.

I wonder if 12J/K are for crew - there may be additional crew on the flight?

Finally, ExpertFlyer states there is C4 available, suggestive that NZ has 4 biz seats still to sell.......

A similar query...

I’m on NZ77 on 5th Jan and anxiously waiting to see if my RU will clear. On the seat map 6A is grey and on ExpertFlyer’s seat map it has a X. When I do a dummy booking it won’t allow you to select a seat.

Is there any hope or does it look unlikely the RU will clear?

Looking at the seat map is not much use actually, key thing to look for is remaining availability.

NZ77 is very heavily sold at present so the odds look grim.

Key information from ExpertFlyer is that most fare classes have a ‘0’ meaning sold out. In biz (C-J classes), there is only one seat for sale:

NZ 77 0 AKL
05/01/19 10:35 TPE
05/01/19 16:50 789

Thanks Thai-Kiwi. Those odds do look grim. Will have to keep my fingers crossed that I’m the only one trying for a PE-J RU and that one seat stays available.

There is no R class available on this flight and only one seat each in J/PE, so no.

That doesn't sound good then...I didn't think Air NZ published R class availability? Learn something new every day! Thanks codyc1515.
