CHC-SIN with Air NZ
This piece of news obviously got swamped by the industrial action threat yesterday. A nice addition to the CHC stable:

It appears to just a case of NZ taking over some of the SQ flights on this route which are up to 2x daily during Summer as part of their JV.

SQ supply Welly to Singapore.
CHC has SQ.
Seems fair when there’s a 2nd flight from CHC that NZ bring an aircraft or take some extra flights as part of the JV?
I am impressed with the capacity coming through Singapore.

Maybe it’s because they went to 3x/day out of Auckland with 1 aircraft each and sharing the 3rd with 6 month stints. SQ also brings the A380 over summer.

The WLG is outside of the JV and doubt it will be a factor. Think NZ would prefer that flight to disappear. AirNZ via the unions and other groups have spent a lot of money trying to get the WLG runway extension canned, as they want to keep their Air Auckland focus and don't want mid to long haul competition in a third NZ city.
Either way SQ bring a lot of capacity to the country.
