Keep away from the Kool-Aid...there's no way they would've invested 2.5 million on a 3 month campaign.

I think the A320s need to overnight at AKL or CHC to have it changed out during maintenance.

I was in Sydney (came in on a morning flight which also featured one of the last instances of the safety video) the wind was insane, it was so strong it was physically blowing me over. A lot of planes were delayed.

Some of the planes have the next months IFE loaded as early as the 20th of the previous month - so it isn't impossible to imagine that it was an early plane and the decision made after its update and it won't get summer of safety until the March update in a few days? I have had summer of safety LH earlier this month.

I assume if you think it had finished you had only read mainstream media reporting where they said it had been "pulled"... Which is anything but the truth.

Was scheduled to end on the 31st January on domestic aircraft to which then saw Summer of safety back for the Northland summer campaign. It's scheduled to continue until the end of February on all international services and A320R which are flying both domestic and short haul at present.

I was actually thinking today that we must be due a new safety video, it's almost 6 months since they pulled it from domestic flights. Steve Hansen's acting has improved considerably since his garage door and biscuit advert days

AirNZ's youtube channel is hinting at probably a new, All Blacks themed safety video that will release in 2 weeks.
Or I could be wrong
