I assume when flying to London via shanghai
first leg nz289
second leg vs251
you have no access to lounge in shanghaI as airnz elite
no points
no status points for the second leg ?
so can you use your Virgin Australia gold card for the second leg for the points and lounge access ?
Would this apply to Singapore Airline too?

You do get APD with eligible booking classes but not SP. If your VS flight has NZ flight number you can use VS lounge at LHR.
