Why are you "peeved" I'd much prefer an uncrowded Strata lounge to a crowded Koru.

Theres a difference between being turned away/redirected to Strata vs going voluntarily for a look because you have a choice.

Sure.. But Koru is clearly going to be chokka if they're warning people in advance again. In that situation I'd far prefer to be able to access Strata for free rather than sitting in a crowded Koru or having to then pay to access Strata.

I'm really not sure what so many people hate on the Strata lounge. IMHO it's a perfectly acceptable lounge, and the experience is better than sitting in a crowded Koru.. All they need is the recipe for the High Flyer cocktail they make in Koru.

Strata has been chockers when I've been there coinciding with NZ redirecting passengers there. Not only lots of NZ passengers, but there are all the other eligible passengers who'd be there anyway. Strata is sometimes busy even without any added NZ passengers.

yes that true - I access Strata as Elite on PR and a few times been quite busy. Maybe a No Room in Strata lounge thread is needed complaining about the AirNZ passengers using it :-)

Well get used to it - Air NZ won't have a Pier B lounge for at least a few more years

This is off topic but don’t want to start a new thread just for this.

In AKL International lounge and went to the bar and they had both Dulcet plus Laurent Perrier Rose chilling in the ice tub. So asked for the LP and no problem. Went back and asked again. No problems. Never seen this before - maybe reserved for F pax on SQ?

Update: turns out it’s for Valentines

I thought I read somewhere, sbiddle won't visit HLZ, not even for an Incredibly eyewatering high 27SP or something.

You see, there lies the problem.

So are you implying the other lounges are full due to paparazzi pretending to be passengers just to get a photo of him

No value for paparazzi.
He has already posed his mug for the herald.
