Not a big diversion on that image, but scale may be misleading

KEF sure is a big airport for such a small population but still a B77W must be extremely rare.

I remember very well - many years ago - an Air New Zealand DC10 diverting to Reykjavik the capital of Iceland.

The DC10 and the B767 were my 2 most favourite aircraft of all time. (Sigh)

It's a clandestine trip posing as a medical divert to steal back the 763s! 😀

Good news, leaving on time, enjoying champagne in 3J.

Flight crew confirmed it was a medical emergency which caused divert to KEF. Hope whoever it was is okay!

KEF is quite a cool airport, sat in departures watching the snow sweepers and gritting trucks on rotation, it was previously the ETOPS divert airport for transatlantic flights no?

But their departure area is akin to a bus station. Vile. Pretty much the antithesis of Iceland itself.
