In other words, not terrible, but also not great for NZ's rep.
I travelled up to Honolulu on 3rd Oct and returned on 13th Oct - both flights in J. We had menus on both flights and I can’t fault the Air NZ service I received.

I agree the seats need a mattress and the IFE wasn’t as good as Air NZ but was adequate. What I really liked was the amount of space around the seat for placing or storing items and the length of the seat in bed mode. I am over 6ft 2ins and had room to spare. Also, the toilets are much larger than on Air NZ 777 - 300.

I would actually prefer to fly J on this aircraft than put up with the narrow seats on the AIr NZ 787 J class.

I see IAH is getting the B77W for some flights in January as B789 have been pulled from this route.
Seat map is for AirNZ aircraft. Any chance this is going to be the EVA plane?
Thanks

The move to the 777 for IAH for the Northern Winter was announced last month and the change starts next month.

No chance of it being the EVA aircraft.

Pretty sure it had been announced that the EVA aircraft will go on NZ5/6 this NW, allowing an NZ 77W to be free’d up for IAH.

So looking at FR24 NZE is scheduled for NZ109/112 on Friday the 13th. What an auspicious day for NZE.

So guessing on Thursday we will see it have a shake down.

They might be able to get rid of them if they reduce capacity due to lack of bookings from COVID-19

Not normally superstitious, however Friday the 13th for the return of NZE??

I hope they’ve arranged a ‘cleansing’ to get rid of the voodoo

And with the Trent TEN issues guess OKT will be around for a bit. Seems to be doing NZ5/6 mostly.

Though COVID-19 most probably giving some breathing room get to get maintenance done without disruptions/swaps due to maintenance requirements.

The plane is haunted as it is - with the deaths on it, engine explosion and catering truck.. Not to mention using it for Air All Blacks which is probably why we lost the RWC..
