Question SFO Transit - ACA to ANZ at Terminal G

Just wanted to confirm:
Planned Route: YYZ-SFO-(via AKL)-MEL = Arriving and departing Terminal G (INT) at SFO.
(and thereby avoiding LAX)

Incoming ACA arrives usually at G92.
Outgoing ANZ 007 usually out of Terminal G as well. Last noticed gate was G98.

Questions:
1. Baggage will be thru-checked YYZ-MEL?
2. No need for second security clearance at SFO for transit - since same terminal G?
Same terminal, different gates.

Thanks in advance,

!. Yes it will be if the YYZ - MEL is all on one ticket.
2. There are no further security checks after leaving Canada unless you leave the secure areas at SFO or AKL (to say pick-up and redeposit your bags if you do not have the one ticket for your travel).
