SIN: Krisflyer Gold lounge vs. SATS Premier lounge

Flying NZ in PE from SIN to AKL in a few days with NZ Gold status (haven't flown PE on this route EVER, as I'm used to the SK lounge or going to/from Oz with the QF/BA lounges).

Loungebuddy APP tells me the choice at T3 SIN is either the poorly regarded Krisflyer Gold lounge or the SATS Premier lounge (which is the NZ contract lounge). I'm not in transit (so showers don't matter), which one is regarded as better?

Personally I think the food is better in the KF Gold lounge. Bit dark there though compared to SATS lounge. Not worth arriving early for though.

I really love NZs 789 PE so hope you enjoy.

Yes, don't arrive early - counter will not be open. If showers aren't an issue go with KrisFlyer. Current 789 PE configs are quite private compared to J or Y

I too love the 789 PE experience with such a small cabin. The only downside is a single bathroom which does become a bottleneck at times.

Don't bother getting there early. The lounge is hands down the worst on the star alliance network which is hugely disappointing for such a good airport.

once you get Elite you'll get acces to the better Business class lounge but when I was Gold I actively avoided transit through SIN for this reason.

Krisflyer Gold Lounge at T3 was just awful. Struggling to think of lounges as poor as this other than domestic US ones. Breakfast was utterly dire.

The Krisflyer lounge at ICN is even worse - hard to believe I know, but it's definitely not a premium experience! SQ really doesn't put a great emphasis on their lounge experience, even the 'premium' business lounge at Changi isn't a fantastic experience - I'd much rather the Wellington or Christchurch domestic lounges.

in Singapore, on the times I've been travelling with guests - I prefer SATS to KrisFlyer, the food and drinks seem to be marginally better and it is a little less busy. Echo everyone's feedback that there's no point arriving early for either lounge, or being upset if you don't manage to get there - you won't miss much!

At ICN, the Asiana lounge and KoreanAir lounges are not much to write home about either. I have been quite underwhelmed.
