It still was last year - but with AML rules it's not surprising it's being restricted or you're having to produce 10 forms of ID!

You may want to check out Revolut (google Revolut NZ - my account can't post links yet) - there are many other similar options in the UK - Monzo, Starling, Curve etc but may require UK residence.

thanks will give revolut a go!
Transferwise has a MasterCard attached to it now which is really awesome - but not yet available in NZ unfortunately!
