New lounge looks nice, although a little sparse in my opinion. Could do with some more decorations etc. A bit white and plain for my liking. But certainly an improvement over the old Koru and the temporary lounge.

Looking forward to finding out what would make it "ground breaking"!

Would be curious to learn more about the "food theater" and if that is only an evening thing as I have a flight in the morning so would like to check to see if this amenity is available all day long. What are the opening hours of the lounge?

Yes, hot dog cart is gone. :-( You can have the chef make you a waffle for breakfast, but it seems a bit of overkill.
In general, the food offerings look a little better than previously, the layout is okay but as far as I remember not a big improvement on what was here before the renovations.

The self-order barrista service is something they've had in the Auckland Koru lounge for at least a year or two. It's supposed to make things fast and easy, but I had to wait several minutes for the couple in front of me to decide what choices to make (2 screens, 3 touches in total) and key in their names. Oh well, not in a big hurry anyway.

Pretty much the usual for Koru lounges, which means a good selection of wines, beers, and liquor. I pretty much stick with wines and sometimes beers myself (though not at 10am, the current time here in Sydney), so don't know how to rate their selection of harder stuff.
