It is unfortunate that such a well produced, entertaining safety message could be perceived as inappropriate, shelved. Passengers are on their way to the Cook Islands, where there will be plenty of people in swimwear, no different than what was shown in the video. It is also unfortunate that Air New Zealand gave in to what is likely a small minority of passengers.

This is a great safety video! If meets all safety requirement and promotes Cook Island tourism. There are more racy safety videos than this one from AZ. It's a shame people nickpick it because there are sport illustated swimsuit models , and totally miss the value of this video.

Maybe they should have replaced it with the "nothing to hide" video - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7-Mq9HAE62Y ?

Other than those people who were offended and seem to think the video was pulled, I'm yet to see any evidence of Air NZ "giving in". This video had been running since early Feb so it's has about the same time playing as most others. Presumably come the 16th we'll have new videos anyway with the PED changes.

According to the Cook Islands News, which is obviously interested in this product, the video is being rested and will be back at the end of the year.
