Upgrade TT from economy seat to Business

Had a pleasant experience on a TT 767 300 seat only
They upgraded me from a seat only to Business class at the check-in
Is this common these days with the one up ?
ps i did look around the plane and the whole plane was full bar one seat! (economy and business)

I've had about 5 op-ups on TT in the past few years, and 2 on longhaul flights.

I would put it down to being that WLG has had fog/earthquake delays in the past 48hours and thy needed every seat possible.

Question: If you've purchased a seat only flight TT and use an RU to upgrade into business, do you also get the 3 bag business allowance?

I'm pretty sure the answer is yes, but some confirmation would be good.

Yes, you get everything as if you had purchased a business class fare, except for the SPs/APDs.
