Air New Zealand / Virgin Australia Codeshare

I have to do a DUD-SYD coming up.

It will be Air New Zealand stock but part of their V Australia partnership.

Will my *G be recognized or Aeroplan mile post back? Or will that be 1500 miles list?

See http://www.airnewzealand.co.nz/co-op...ustralia-group

DUD-SYD is operated by Virgin Australia, which isn't *A metal so *G = Nothing

I've got ANZ metal on a DJ coded flight so as near as I can tell, there's no need to buy baggage as my partner is *g (and on the same PNR). I've only got a DJ PNR, however, which will not find my booking on the ANZ site. I guess I need to call ANZ to get the other PNR?

Thanks

I am not an expert on this detail, but, if you have purchased a saver fare on DJ there is no free baggage allowance. This is the same if you had purchased the cheapest NZ fares. No free baggage alowance.
NZ does not give *g (or even its own elite passengers) any free checked bags if you have not pruchased a fare with a baggage allowance.

Correct... NZ only gives extra baggage to *G.. you must have purchased a baggage eligible fare in the first place..

What a nightmare. So in theory I can purchase a baggage option (25kg) for my traveling partner via the DJ website and then she can use her *G to get additional? Sounds like I should just give my bags to my traveling companions who are on separate tickets in J on ANZ.

No, DJ won't recognise her non-NZ/SQ *G (they are not part of the Star Alliance). And I'm pretty sure their extra baggage benefit only applies to their own elites.
