We receive all partner airline booking PNRs on reward travel when the itinerary is sent so we can select seats on each airlines website or app. But I received an email from NZ saying I could bid on one up so I followed the link. And then I received the email and new ticket with my confirmation of successful bid.

OneUp makes it easy to request a cabin class upgrade when you're booked on an Air New Zealand ticketed and operated international flight.

Well reducing outstanding liabilities. I'm assuming the min cost of a One Up is greater than the marginal cost of varaible costs involved in a cabin upgrade. a profitable way to write APDs of the balance sheet.

I'm going to take a guess and say that most folks are using cash rather than APD for OneUp's.

On the departing flight there weren't any available seats in PE. Great service and comfort, thoroughly enjoyed the food and service. In my opinion, it was worth the $.

Two Bids, both declined at 72 hours
NZ178 PER to AKL 8/2 - PE to J - bid $375 AUD
NZ8 AKL to SFO 8/2 - PE to J - bid $730 AUD
no uplift on either
subject to review at 7 Hours, hopefully will be accepted closer to as I felt these were adequate bids

Y - PE
Bid - $255 USD (no status)
Accepted 3 hours out
Declined at the gate - someone with status got it
Credit card charged, and it will take 5 weeks to get the refund

Unfortunate... FWIW domestic flight refunds into my CCrd consistently happen within 1-2 days.
