Flying IAH>>AKL and AKL>>ORD in January. Purchased tickets on united.com. Is it possible to bid oneup for a sky couch? Preliminary investigation on airnz.com says it's not possible for me to bid oneup since did not buy on air.nz.com.

Worth enquiring at the airport for price for any unsold sky couches. I don't think it's full price. Surely they'd still sell it to you at the airport regardless of ticket stock?

Intentionally chose to fly on the leased EVA 777 (with a large PE section) with a view to oneup, worked out perfectly. Could have bid slightly less (was a tick or two off minimum) but really wanted to be in PE for the flight as I have lots to do when I land.
