Anyone else had issues submitting an OneUp bid for an replacement flight due an 789 related flight cancelation? I've got an NZ89 that wont allow you to submit an OneUp, the NZ87 I was mean to be on got canceled yesterday.

As it's a standalone 3rd party platform aircraft changes can take time to update - sometimes they simply never do.

My husband and I are heading to BNE next week on separate tickets. His bid (no status upweight) has been accepted, however I'm yet to hear about my bid (Koru + silver).

NZ135 AKL-BNE
26 JUL 2018
Y -> PE

Husband:
Offered NZD $170 (no status upweight)
Accepted 5 days before departure

Me:
Y -> PE
Offered APD $160 (+ Silver upweight)
Still waiting to hear. **Edited to say: accepted 3 days prior to departure.

This sounds really odd as the uplift for silver takes the OP's offer above that of her husband. It makes me wonder whether AirNZ takes any account of uplift when assessing OneUps. Can you let us know the eventual outcome?

Will definitely let you know. I should admit that my original bid was $150 - so with silver upweight would be $165. Once husband's was accepted, I increased mine to $160. Still haven't heard whether it's accepted though. I do wonder whether his being a cash offer is more favourable than my APD offer.

Edited to add: my bid was accepted three days out.

4 flying SFO-AKL in PE in a couple weeks, so we submitted a US$515 each to upgrade to PB - any ideas if this will even be considered? (It is an extra $2060 in revenue though and Mrs Skyline said it would then free up 4 PE seats for oneup bids ! )

Given folks have missed out on higher bids I'd suggest not getting your hopes up too much... then again others have succeeded with similar bids so you never know...It all depends on loadings for YOUR flight... (Of course FOUR is a tough call... are they all on the same booking?)

You would have to be incredibly lucky to get 4 upgrades on a single PNR cleared.

SYD-AKL NZ108
2 August 2018
Seat-only fare, no NZ status (VA Gold)
Y > PE $105 AUD
Confirmed 5 days out

My bid was AUD $10 higher than the minimum bid of $95 - probably unnecessary in this instance as there are still 7+ seats empty. However on a seat-only fare like mine, I think this represents great value. It would have cost A$40 to upgrade to Works from Seat only (which I would have done, had this failed, since its a dinnertime flight and I'll be coming straight from the office so won't really have time to eat beforehand), so the additional cost for the vastly improved comfort and catering of PE is only $65.

I also just realised that this is preserving my 100% record of never having flown Y on an NZ 772 or 773. The temptation to upgrade is clearly always too much for me to resist...

I used this thread info to assess successful bids so thought I'd share back how I got on a few months back -

NZ52 AKL-NAN
6 June 18
Y -> PE (2 pax)
Offered $130 APD (Jade Status, so no uplift)
Accepted 5 days before departure

NZ53 NAN-AKL
11 June 18
Y -> PE (2 pax)
Offered $120 cash (Jade Status, so no uplift)
Accepted 5 days before departure

Was still plenty of empty seats in PE both ways, aircraft changes from 787 to 777-200 (ex AKL) & 777-300 (ex NAN)

Well - with only 9 hours to go before flight NZ7 SFO-AKL, we received an email - Congratulations! Your OneUp™ offer has been accepted
Pretty chuffed on 4 PE to Business Premier @ US$535 each - really looking forward to the flight now
