NZ7 SFO - AKL on 12/03/2017 (Sunday)
Y - PE (772)
NZ*G
Bid $360 NZD
Accepted T-7 out.
Loadings looking pretty light, and kind of wish I didn't bid now as I'm stuck in in the middle set of PE seats. RIP space seats.

Space seats are been phased out on all NZ planes this year and been replaced with the Prem Econ that are used in the 787 Dreamliners.

NZ7 was a very light load, 8 free PE seats and quite a lot of Y.

Anyways, my experience
NZ135 AKL-BNE 2 Apr 2017
PE - C
NZ*G
$170 AUD (APD)
Accepted T-3
I should have lowballed that one even further, when I went to the gate they changed my seat forward two rows, and on disembarking I noticed the entire rear business cabin was empty - so I assume they shoved me forward to save having to crew an entire compartment for one person.

Easily the best value OneUp I've ever had. The two seats in the middle 4 turned out to be empty too. Extremely unusual light loading for that route though.
$105 NZD + gold uplift has also easily been getting Y to PE on AKL-MEL and AKL-NAN / NAN-AKL on a regular basis lately

Unless your signature below your username is outdated yotty, as NZ Elite, wouldn't the most logical choice have been lodging an Elite AirPoints Dollars upgrade?
At APD 220 (which is pretty much NZ$220) for Y->PE on that route, not only would it have been much better value, but you'd also be miles ahead of all the OneUps (and Golds/Silvers) in terms of upgrade priority (if it didn't actually clear right away with "A" inventory for PE).

I am very happy to now not have to play with OneUps for the near future.

Is it generally a good bet when you haven't heard anything 24-hours out (i.e. has anyone ever been rejected within the last 24-hours)? I checked in online and didn't get any notice there of an upgrade. Maybe I will at the gate?
Looks like there is still quite a bit of inventory
