Question Service on late night flights?

Hi, am flying out of AKL at 11:59pm to Osaka on NZ97 in about a month, any idea what meal services are offered? The menus on here are a bit out of date... I'd assume it is the same as NZ39 and NZ89... Also any idea if AirNZ ever do anything special for flights over Christmas?

They serve dinner about an hour or so into the flight, and there's a breakfast service. No idea about christmas.

Wirelessly posted (Mozilla/5.0 (iPhone; U; CPU iPhone OS 4_1 like Mac OS X; en-us) AppleWebKit/532.9 (KHTML, like Gecko) Version/4.0.5 Mobile/8B117 Safari/6531.22.7)

I don't remember anything special on Xmas flights from the few I've had over the past five years. Except maybe the Cpt. Wishing us good tidings or somesuch.

On Christmas Eve AKL-LAX flight last year we got a chocolate in a little box that said "Merry Christmas" on it, but that's about it. Other than a "Merry Christmas" announcement by the Captain ("It's now Christmas Day in NZ, so if you're a NZer, Merry Christmas! If you're not, then sorry you'll have to wait"), they also came through the economy cabin with Lindauer. Same went for a NRT-AKL and LAX-AKL New Years Eve flight.

Cheers for that. Just wondered if AirNZ was like SQ with their flight at a similar time only serving a small "snack" type dinner...
