It might be true, my FD 2005 card reads: 02/2006 and the FB card 03/2006.

FB: 3/2006
FD: 2/2006

I suspect this has more to do with a realistic POV about when they'll get the physical cards to us than anything related to the expiration of actual status, though.

With FP the status used to be valid until end of march. As it is writen on the FB card 03/2006 my understanding is that it will be the same has it used to be with FP

I'm feeling a little ignorant this morning. I've been reading this thread and I don't know what you all are talking about? Do you mean you get to keep the qualifiing miles that you flew over the maximum in 2005? I never got this last year? How does this work?

Sorry. My misunderstanding. Yes, this is an improvement from FP, where this benefit was not available.

I was referring to this post. Why wouldn't your account be reset to zero?

As for benefits til the end of March, yes I beleive that is the case. Of course if you flew enough miles in 2005, your benefits will stay til the end of March, 2007.

Under the new rules, if you have more than 115,000 status miles for non-French residents (and more than 150,000miles for French residents) you get to forward the extra status miles to the following year. For example, if you have 125,000 status miles for 2005, and you are not resident in France, you should start 2006 with 10,000 status miles in your account and thus only need 60,000 more miles to requalify for Platinum.

OK, thanks. I didn't know about that one. I did over 200K miles last year, but only just enough with AF to get Platinum. Maybe I'll do more with them in 2006.

Now I'm starting to get worried

OK guys... the end of January is almost upon us, and the excess of level miles over 115,000 still has not been credited from last year.

What's even more worrying is that I got an email from KLM just now ("Voordelige sneeuwbestemmingen," i.e. cheap snow destinations) which included in a sidebar my FB number, and the number of level and award miles as of December 31st. The level miles shown were 99,090, whereas I know I had over 135,000 at the end of last year. That was also the number shown when I logged in to FB on the website.

I have a really, really bad feeling about this.

It happened to me!

Today: my Miles Statut got one hell of a boost!
Two lines posted on my account with today's date and *** comment:
-31123 (NQ Miles)
+31123 (Qualifying Miles)

So they did it and they did it right!

What the have not done is credit the 4 qualifying flights that I should get after 109 flights last year...
