A few hours later, it seems they fixed the issue. While some availability had vanished (I saw better availability earlier in the day, before the errors started popping up), there was still availability on one route we were looking at. Was able to book last night, tickets issued, all seems OK now.

There are still some issues with the promos. While looking for the promo to Seattle in business I saw enough dates with available promo-rates on the month overview. However, when you actually had to select the specific flights there were suddenly no flights available on that day or the prices were way higher. This happened for several different date combinations I tried. Other routes seem to work fine.

I guess the promo award space has all sold out on this route and their own system hasn't caught up yet...

if you really want to book that promo, there is a trick, requires time so if you have this luxury you can:
- try to book one ways only, no round trip... the price in the end is the same
- take screenshots, send them to Flying Blue support, they can actually book a promo for you if you insist and if you have the proof of the promo prices availability. Once sent the email with the screenshots, call and ask for the promo fare.

generally they do not book Promo over the phone but there is a way to do it, you can:

My reply you are quoting has nothing to do with promo awards...

I am looking to book flights ATL-AMS and the KLM website shows 29k each way. However, the phone agents aren't seeing this price and see 45k for the outbound. I'd be transferring points from Chase for this redemption so want to make sure the availability is real and not phantom before I send the points. Is there a way to check this without completing the transfer & attempting to book?

ETA: the flight that I'm concerned about is KLM metal, not partner, if that's relevant.

For the last week or so, I can't even log in anymore. AF.com won't even let me go to My Account page. Keeps defaulting back to the home page. ??

Not an issue - perhaps a "quirk" would be the best word? - but definitely a first for me!

Scoping out a potential US trip, I found Saudia offered as an FB redemption option.

And for fewer miles and less money (72.000 Miles + EUR 112,16) than the direct KL service (89.500 Miles + EUR 189,43) on this particular day!!!

(Saudia resumes AMS from Jeddah as of next month, which I did not previously know)

Anyone has ever seen PER-LHR or vice-versa in J to book with miles? I can't find single day.

Edit: direct flight

You will struggle to even find availability on direct QF (and BA) flights between UK and AU even using British Airways Executive Club / Qantas Frequent Flyer. They tend to be snapped up as soon as they are made available to book.

(I just checked in BA Executive Club for every date between Jan 20 and Feb 13 2021 - ie the furthest out that flights can currently be booked - and there is no availability on ANY Qantas flights from LHR-PER in either Economy or Business on any day in those 3 weeks)

There is no way of verifying, but I would be very surprised if any J seats on either QF9 or QF10 were even released to be booked via Flying Blue.

Even in Economy they are scarce...

Is the reward flight search down? I have tried on both AF and KLM and although availability shows with Delta it's not returning any results.
