Three years ago, I cancelled 2 classic award flights just one day before, and rebook 2 others just after (promo at half price available the day after... )

Does anyone know how many miles a FB Plat can stand in debt? I thought it was 10% of the points you have at the time of booking a award ticket (example: you have 200.000 point in your account but can spend 220.000). Cant find it anywhere on the web but I have made use of this advantage a couple of years ago.

Even in the wider world, the A340 is becoming rarer; a 4-engine lady when the 2-enginers are winning the fuel war? Shame - I like them.

I agree as a passenger they are (were) nice. Except they were relatively slow which counted for some time on long routes.

hi experts.
I may i've a question about award routing and stopover rules...

If I buy a 20k return intra Asia 2 award, and I see a routing options via outside Asia 2... Am I allowed to make a stopover outside of Asia 2?
For instance TPE-SGN, HAN-KIX-TPE
KIX as one of the transfer point, can I take that as a stopover?

I need a awward ticket from Florence (Italy) to Tel Aviv, next week, using my Flying Blue miles on Alitalia flight. However, the availability for award redemtion has disappeared - will more seats be released for award redemption?

May be, may be not and very likely not, as we are talking on using FB miles on a partner airlines.

just hit gold! and have a question. did some search but just wanted to confirm, flying blue does soft landing right? its only june and just hit gold, have more work/personal trips coming up but the way it seems now, i'll be a handful of segments short of platinum by the end of the year.

am considering to do some segment runs to hit platinum. I'm aware that there is almost no difference in privileges between gold/platinum, but i might miss the requirement for gold next year as my flying pattern for work might change next year with much lesser segments, and also looking to redeem some award tickets so that will mean less credited segments as well.

a soft landing will make pushing for platinum this year worth it, since i'll be platinum in 2017, and soft landing to gold in 2018 (even if i do not meet the requirements for gold in 2017). am i right?

just needed confirmation, thanks!
