Hi!!

I have a big doubt.

If I make 4 times in one year the route BCN-CDG-MEX roundtrip flights, I will get 16 level flights.
Is this enough to get the Silver level?. My doubt is that the web speaks of Number of One-way flights not of level flights.

Thanks!

Yes, you will be silver. The count is based on segments, and each flight is a segment.

Hi,
I was wondering if it is possible to pay taxes and fees of a TATL award booking with miles as well. I know that it is possible for intra European flights, I belive 7500 miles per segment.
If not, would it be possible to book (i.e.) FRA - AMS - ORD, and pay the taxes of FRA-AMS with miles and "only" the AMS-ORD taxes with money.

Thanks a lot!

No(t for the time being) AFAIK. This is only for European flights.

Question Elite status recognition on Award ticket

Hi,
does OLCI recognize the Elite status when flying on an Award ticket?

I am FB Platinum and had an Award flight CDG-DUS-TLS - on both segments OLCI proposed me seats in the rear cabin only.

Yes, the status is recognized on award ticket (although, usually not printed on BP). The pb you are encountering is more & more frequent (also with paid tickets). One explanation may be the automatic check-in for short/medium-haul flights, so that when you do OLCI, the automatic check-in has already assigned most of the front seats.

I tend to think that is rather a bug. Indeed, with award tickets, would they be booked from an Ivory, Silver, Gold or Platinum account, we never managed to get anything in front of row 23 on the A320 and row 30 on the A321, even on domestic flights. It can only be solved at the counter.

FB Gold expiry date on card

Been searching the forum but haven't found any info on this issue:

I am Gold since 05/2010.

My card states expiry date 03/2012

I understood levels expired after one year, unless you qualified to keep it.

Anyone can explain this? are there any exceptions?

Thanks in advance!

I think my post explains the duration reasonably well:

Just two things to say:

- the more things I learn, the more I see how ignorant I am

- thank you.

Seems my search was not an accurate one, I apologize for that

Hi,

I hope this is the right thread... I will be reaching gold this year with FB, so I have a question regarding the supposed new rule that US FB Gold is now equivalent ST Elite Plus. Is this true or would a non-US address still be preferable?

All US FB Gold members should receive Elite Plus status from this year. When receiving your new card you should see that you now are an Elite Plus member in stead of Elite member.
(You can print a copy of your FB card here if you have not yet received it).
