Expiring miles

Does anyone know what happens to an account if there had been no flight activity on a sky team carrier for 3 years? Does the whole account go away, or do miles start dropping off as they were accrued?

I have been putting all my flights on Sky miles and don't really want to lose some of the AF miles I have. - Perhaps time for a MR.

expired miles would be dropped off depending on when they were accrued (3-yr window rule)

Misallocated points

I recently flew full-price KLM business AMS-Accra, with my wife on an award ticket. My account has been credited with the flight, but at 0 miles! Nothing has appeared on her account. Has anyone else experienced this kind of thing?

Yes, exactly the same thing. If you look at your wife's boarding pass, you will see how this happened -- it will have your FB number on it. It was a pain, but I sorted it: First fill in the online missing miles claim. When that doesn't work, you get a fax number: you just have to fax all the details, with a cover letter. I had to do this twice, but it worked the second time.

The 0 mile posted happened to me recently when I upgraded my BKK-CDG segment with my miles. I first emailed during the two weeks window, and got a standard reply to submit the claim, blah blah blah.. Then I resent another email on the 15th day after travel date asking my that segment was posted zero mile (I provided them the booking code and e-ticket number), I got a reply apologizing for the error and the mile was credited immediately without me having to submit anything.

Changing open award for classic one?

Someone may know this from the top of his head, but I can't find the answer to the following:

Can I book an open (flex) reward, to be sure of a specific flight, and then cancel it and get my points back when I see a classic award becomes available for that same flight?

I wonder, by the way, when KL/AF will make classic awards go forever. They want us to pay the double amount, but I am going to resist them as long as I can.

Of course. Never had a problem.

As long as you have sufficient miles in your account for that classic award, right? It does take a few days for the canceled award to be re-credited to your account.

Radisson upgrade as gold member

Hi,

I can read on the first page upgrades exist with Radisson SAS hotels as a member elite flying blue.
Is it still happening? What does it mean actually?
I would like to be aware, as I stay a lot in Radisson hotels, in Denmark mainly if it is important.

Thanks

From the partner pages, it looks like the Radisson chain offers upgrades, not Radisson SAS:

Radisson: http://www.klm.com/travel/ch_en/flyi...e=txt.partners

Radisson SAS: http://www.klm.com/travel/ch_en/flyi...e=txt.partners

If I buy my ticket on nwa.com, and it's a V fare, and half the flight is on KL metal and the other half is on NW metal, will I get 100% of the miles flown on both KL and NW? I really get confused by the V fares.

* If flight number is NW (even if KL metal) you will earn 25% on V class.
* If flight number is KL you will have 100% on V class middle haul
25% on V class long haul

Hope it is more clear!

What is middle haul, and the difference between it and long haul?
