Interline question - separate tickets same day on AF and VS

Hi -

I see info on this on both the BA and VS websites that there is an agreement, but not specific detail on this.

I am flying on two separate tickets on the same day:
AF: CDG to LHR
then
VS: LHR to JFK

Will AF check out luggage all the way through to JFK at CDG?

Thanks.

possible but not sure. So you need to plan for refusal and allow enough time to go through immigration in LHR, collect bags and re-check with VS (3 to 4 hrs).

So which is it? AF or BA?

Interline BA to VS possibility

In any case: you cannot expect to have your bags checked through when you are self-connecting on separate tickets. The seamless transfer of luggage is only supposed to be for those travelling on a single ticket.
