Any Way to Book an Open Jaw Award Itinerary?

Only seems to be a choice of one-way or round-trip.

I had the same issue months ago in trying to book our upcoming award trip (also open jaw). We just did it as two one-way tickets. While doing two one way tickets would have increased the cost if we were paying for the flights, it didn’t affect the points required for each leg. (We got the same points cost per leg as we would if we had booked round trip to and from the relevant city.)

But with two one-ways the redeposit fee in the event of cancellation would be double.

That's the price you have to pay for an open-jaw.

Tip: if the additional travel can be done for less than double the price of the cancellation fee, book a return, and separately pay for travel to get you from the point you wished you could be for an open-jaw ticket to the point you need to be for your return ticket.
