Good input all, I have just editted the first post with the link to the Flying Blue news article where they confirm the 50% bonus XP and also extension of current covid-19 measures: https://www.flyingblue.co.uk/en/news/coronavirus

I have one of my regular straightforward intra-European commutes booked either side of New Year's Day.
This year these flights have earned me (5+5) x 2 = 20 XP. For the upcoming flight KL promises me a total of 18. (5x2) + (5x1.5) = 17.5 ≈ 18. So yes, a 1.5 factor would explain that.

I guess it’s nice that they are doing this, but the fact that they still have to is just depressing. On the bright side, the drop from 100% to 50% bonus XP indicates that on January 1, 2022, the pandemic will be halfway over, right???

Is there any news whether AF/KL will also offer double XP/UXP for the remainder of the year?
Lufthansa just announced 1.5 times until year end.

I think they already said that it won’t continue and that only « selected members » in some areas in Asia would get a specific support to be defined. So it will most probably be targeted and limited to those with an Asian address. However, I do not remember exactly where I have read this.

Weird XP forecast on today's booking.
Domestic return ticket in Y. Expected 4XP, website is showing 9. That's not even on-par with the former x1,5 ratio...
Did they manage to create a random bug, or is there a new scheme that was silently launched?
