SkyPriority for a guest

Hi guys,

I'll be flying tomorrow for the first time with the scared-of-airplanes missus. Big step for her.

I was hoping to treat her to a pre-departure lounge to but that won't be possible (for our safety, the lounge in Lyon is still closed).
Does anyone know if it's possible to "invite" a guest to SkyPriority boarding? The Plat hotline could not tell me in advance, and I was counting on this to soften a bit the edges of the pre-takeoff period that can be stressful.

When I have a guest without status, I just go to check-in and ask if they can issue a bp with skypriority. 9 out of 10 cases they will (@KLM in AMS or WAW)

I go to the gate with both boarding passes in hand, mine on top. Never had a problem.

You board first, your guest is beside you and you gesture to the agent that the person is with you. No need to say anything else.

At the gate you never a problem, the problem is always at security check and there they don't allow you to pass if no SP on your bp

Both boarding passes? Touching each other? What about Covid?
This seems as dangerous as drinking Coke Zero or, god forbid, wine in glassware !

Never had a problem when flying with someone without SP. Always show my boarding pass first, then theirs. Never tried asking for a boarding pass with SP on it, but doesn't hurt to ask I guess.

Thanks all for sharing your feedback.

Indeed, printing a guest SP boarding pass was not possible. It turned out not to be a problem since LYS is still a zoo (special thanks to the border control...).

No SP line while boarding. The gate agent asked ppl to stay seated while waiting for a zone boarding call that never came.

A free-for-all expérience, from checkin to boarding.

If you are travelling on the same reservation, isn't the SkyPriority boarding zone extended to all companions?

On DL flights until 6 people if I remember well, KL/AF only for the person having status.
