Question Af & Flybe, booked through AF

Dear Flyertalk gurus,
I booked Flybe flights through AF (DUS>CDG>EXE and back).
AF just cancelled the DUS>CDG stretch. No mention of the Flybe stretch to Exeter, though,
Any idea what that means?
I'd appreciate any tips and advice.

Flybe ceased operations 5 March 2020 (bankrupt)

You need to claim a full refund from AF, as they were the entity that you paid.

Thanks! I finally got through to AF and I can confirm that they are returning the full amount (as a voucher, but since AF is state owned, I feel happy that they'll still be there in the future).

A long way from state owned. Have a look at the French Stock Exchange (41.3%)

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Air_France%E2%80%93KLM
Ownership

As of 2019, major shareholders are:[23][24]
  • French State: 14.3%
  • Dutch Government: 14% (will increase to 14.3%)
  • China Eastern Airlines: 8.8%
  • Delta Air Lines: 8.8%
  • DNCA Finance: 5.1%
  • Employees: 3.9%
  • JPMorgan Chase: 1.9%
  • Norges Bank Investment Management: 1.7%
  • Treasury stock: 0.3%

On 26 February 2019, the Dutch government announced that it had acquired 12.68% of the company's stock at a price of €680 million. A day later the Dutch government confirmed it held 14% of the company's stock.

Not only do the employees at AF believe that the French state is and always will be behind them, not only do French politicians refer to AF as "la compagnie nationale", but the general public believes it as well.

A good friend of mine from the US, highly educated and well versed in international affairs thought too that AF was a state owned airline...

Thanks for the info.
The advice elsewhere here is to answer their e-mail offering a voucher and demand cash instead.
I'm not sure there's much else to do in these strange times.
