I would love to do Antananarivo, which is in Madagascar, which would make it 40,000 miles round trip if I am not mistaken. But I remember looking for a normal award ticket a year ago and could not find a single date of availability over 6 months. So I suspect that this offer looks better than it is going to turn out to be!

Amazing, really good deal. I thought the tax amount referred to the overall tax payable on the ticket.
Your example starts in Paris, but I presume you can start in other European cities (i.e. FRA).

EDIT - Actually, in all honesty and just realizing that this is good for March and April travel only, there will be no way I can go on a jaunt to Antananarivo or anywhere else during that period. It is approaching exam time at the conservatoire, so I am going to be a prisoner of that particular job at that time. Probably have to wait for retirement to use these damn promo awards. Dreaming on!

Quito and Mexico City looks like every second month on promo awards....missing Edmonton. Another month, another pathetic J selection / discount.

When you're going to the page to book tickets with miles, there's an option to tick "I'm looking for flights around these dates"

Book single flights via the app. It saved me 100 euro on the return from Quito in J on taxes.

You mean that the price of the "taxes" is different between the mobile app and desktop version?
Or that it cost more to buy a round trip than 2 single flights?

Yes it does cost less to buy 2 one way flights (I don't know if it is always true).
