Dec 2019 French Transportation Strike Observations

I thought it might be useful to have a thread capturing relevant FT experiences during this strike. Any observations from people traveling through French airports would be useful.

Myself, scheduled to fly on AF route SFO CDG GVA Dec 11/12, returning Jan 7/8. Also was to take ICE from Strasbourg to Paris and Eurostar to London on 12/20. I now also have 12/20 LH bus/flight through Frankfurt as back-up plan. I will report my experiences if any strike activity is ongoing.

I cannot yet modify my reservations on AF, as flights are not cancelled. AF seems to be prioritizing long hauls per press release.

Rick Steves has a useful thread, if I am allowed to post that:

To keep everything neat and tidy, those of us who read these threads regularly would appreciate if you'd post your observations in the correct place - i.e. the existing thread about the current strike, over in the Air France area:

CDG strike impact?

Thanks!
