Bilbao lounge access - skyteam?

Can skyteam ep members access the Sala Vip Lounge in BIO for free? ST Lounge guide only lists AirEuropa, but reports from users indicates broader access.

Yes, we accessed this one on an AF-operated flight:

So did I, even though this was a few years ago.

Yes, I did a review about that lounge: Bilbao Aena lounge.

I'm got denied access there in May flying with Air Europe. The lady at the entrance told me UX does not pay for access, unlike AF/KLM e.g.

Does UX operate international flights out of BIO?

Lounge access with UX is only for international flights, isn't it ?

Lounge access for SkyTeam is supposed to be on an international itinerary, I find it unlikely that UX offers no connections out of Spain from BIO.
The question is, if they simply have no contracted lounge at all, what can you do. Even if you complain to SkyTeam, they can't force the lounge to let you in for free.

I was flying to BRU but with an overnight layover in MAD... so not sure if that counts. But like you said, not much you can do there anyway

That is a domestic flight, so no lounge access.
