Question About Earning Gold from Silver
Hi! I've read and reread the XP page on FlyingBlue's website, and I must be dense, but I can't figure out this simple scenario.
I have an upcoming LHR-CDG-SFO-CDG-LHR booked in revenue F (J on EU segments). I think this nets me 15+60+60+15 XP's, so 150. That will being me to Silver, so they'll subtract 100 XP's, leaving me with 50. So far correct? So how many more do I need for Gold within the same year? Is it 30 more (for 180 total in the year) or is it 180 after earning Silver, meaning I need an extra 130? Again, sorry that I can't figure this out on my own! Also, just a comment, but the "Domestic" earning seems very low. Especially since JFK-LAX in DeltaOne, for instance, can run $4,000 return or more. Thanks! -BlooJoo |
You will have 1 year, from when you become Silver, to collect 180-50 = 130 more XP to become Gold.

Ah! Thank you! And from the point of earning Gold, I will be Gold for how long?

One year to the end of the month to re-qualify, with 3 more months of Gold status if you don't.

keep in mind that Delta domestic F will be counted as Domestic J segment for XP so only 6XP for Delta Domestic F

These flights will not grant Sky Club access even in F unless the pax is STE+. |

Also keep in mind that Delta domestic F flying transborder US-Canada will count as 15XP.

You are not the only one who feels dense. I find the whole XP program hard to follow.

Just so I understand, you're saying that JFK-LAX yields 6 XP's, but JFK-YYZ would yield 15 XP?
YYZ-JFK in domestic First (booked in P or Z): 15 XP JFK-HNL in Delta One (booked in Z): 6 XP And you don't earn any XP nor miles on flights operated by WS, ticketed by DL. But you will earn both miles and XP on flights operated by WS and ticketed by WS. |

If flying DL in the US from LAX-JFK, that is a domestic flight that earns you 6XPs in J (or what you guys call First class) When I fly 1 hour from Frankfurt-Paris CDG in J, I earn 15XPs. Cuz it's international. |
