Also possible to earn XP on non-SkyTeam partner airlines (excl. Transavia)

On a related note, since this month it is possible to earn XP on certain non-SkyTeam Flying Blue partners without a AF/KL flightnumber. This includes Air Mauritius, GOL and Malaysia Airlines. Article (in Dutch): https://insideflyer.nl/verdien-flyin...uiten-skyteam/

As I read it, domestic routes are excluded with the exception of those listed, but earning is possible on all international routes.

Afraid I am still not convinced. This is the literal copy paste from FB English (FB Dutch does not even mention XP yet), and it is the few domestic routes that are offered often jointly with KL tickets to KUL....if it is all international MH routes that would be great, obviously. Guess due to your insideflyer site you have good access to FB - would you mind checking this? Would be a good extra newsitem on your site....Would not be the first time some vague wording is fooling us....Tnx!

EARN MILES AND GAIN XP

Earn Miles and gain XP on flights marketed as Malaysia Airlines (MH) and operated by Malaysia Airlines, Air France, or KLM, as per the earning scheme below, and on the following domestic routes marketed as Malaysia Airlines (MH) and operated by Malaysia Airlines, as per the earning scheme below:
  • Between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Penang (PEN)
  • Between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Langkawi (LGK)
  • Between Kuala Lumpur (KUL) and Kota Kinabalu (BKI)

It would be good if someone would report back on earning XPs on MH flights As you noted, the Dutch page makes no mention of XP earning.

But previously in Flying Blue only those 3 listed domestic routes were eligible for earning FB miles. As such, it is entirely consistent that only these routes would now also earn XP.

Unless you want the DOUBLE generosity of FB not only introducing XP earning to MH flights, but also extending both miles and XP earning to ALL MH domestic routes!!!!

Apparently this is true (gaining XP) also for JL flights (see: https://www.flyingblue.ch/en/partner...s/presentation ), with the exclusion of flights in Y between Japan and France in most fare classes.

Earn Miles and gain XP on flights marketed as Japan Airlines (JL), Japan Trans Ocean (NU) and operated by Japan Airlines, Air France or J-Air, as per the earning scheme below.

Earning Miles isn’t possible for:
  • Tickets with a booking class not mentioned in the earning scheme below
  • Reward tickets (tickets booked using Miles)
  • Flights between France and Japan, using a ticket with one of the following booking classes: H, K, L, M, V, S, O, G and R

There again, only the English-language page mentions XP earning. Neither the French nor German language versions of that page give any indication of XP earning.

By chance I just had a JL marketed and operated flight from HND to OKA and it just posted... J class, 6 XPs (no UXP obviously).

Wow! Things now become interesting. If JL, MAS and some others gain XP for most of their route network...

Got the hotline on the phone. I’ve asked explicitly for a past GOL flight with no XP credit. They called me back and said the change was effective on July 1st so the reason why my past flight end in may was not credited. The good news: it seems the info in the FB English page is TRUE 😎
Flying Blue is becoming more interesting...

This is pretty cool. So you will be able to choose where to credit your (eg) Copa flights now: To flying blue or your *A FFP.
