Did ai book too late?
 

My Flying Blue points expired at the end of April. I tried to book a round trip using points on the evening of 4-30 from Nashville to DTW. I could not get the round trip to go through on the Internet so I booked two single flights. Outgoing on 7-20-19 and return on 7-24.
i received emails from flying blue at 6:52 and 6:57 p. M. CST confirming the flights and taking the points out of my account.
The difference in the emails was that the later email says not ticketed nextt toto the passengers' names. and my credit card was not charged for taxes.

I called called the phone # shown on the FB website and got a Delta rep. He transferred me to FB. The lady said the flight was not ticketed until May 1 so the reservation did not go through. She gave me a choice of booking a 10:30 am flight or 10:30 pm flight or making the reservation online with my points. I have 24 hours to book the flight. We have a 2.5-3 hour drive to DTW so neither is desirable.
​​​​​​I had a 12:30 pm flight booked but now it's either early morning or late at night.

Any thoughts?
