Qualification period vs re-qualification
 

My gold membership runs until 01/2020, but has a qualification period until 10/2019.

If I re-qualify for gold say 7/2019, will my new re-qualification period be (as early as) 7/2020?

It will be 10/2020, valid until 01/2021 (3 months grace period). Qualification period changes if you increase status (for instance if you get to Platinum before 10/2019).

Alvinmaker is right, the requalification period only changes if you move a level up - in a way sensible since they give you in your case then plat before your gold requalification period would end. In your case the gold requalification check is done on 10/2019 and will give you again a year to requalify.
