Upgrade at check in or jfk

Delta platinum. Flying AF 23 this Tuesday. Is it possible to upgrade (with sky miles) at JFK?

Cash available at check in, if you booked basic ticket then it is open for you to upgrade at gate only (cash + flying blue miles, not sure about sky miles).

Are you flying on a Delta or AF ticket? If AF, then Skymiles doesn't apply. Regardless, airport upgrade would be cash only, I believe.
