Where to clear customs (JFK -> MAN -> CDG)?
Have a quick question. I have a 2 hr layover in Manchester via Virgin Atlantic and was wondering if I am going to clear customs in Manchester or final destination in Paris via Air France? US citizen here.

You’ll clear customs in CDG. |
You clear customs at the point where your luggage is returned to you. That means CDG if you are travelling on one ticket, at both MAN and CDG if you are travelling on separate tickets.
Your hand luggage may be inspected at MAN, though. In case you mean immigration/passport checks, then you can probably expect to have to show your passport in Manchester while moving from one flight to the other. |

Thank you! I'm trying to see how long it'll take for me to clear customs, grab luggage and get into Paris city center by metro (republic stop) to check into my airbnb. I only have till 3pm to check in (host is only available from 1-3pm) and my flight lands at 12pm. Doable?
