Using miles to book Vietnam Airlines domestic flights
 

Really know very little about this program and have accumulated 20K miles in Flying Blue. Would like to redeem some miles for domestic flights within Vietnam. Have looked at the Flying Blue website and can'r figure out whether this is possible and how to go about this.

Any advice on how to book domestic flights in Vietnam using miles will be appreciated.

In my experience, domestic flights are so cheap using miles for them is often quite poor value...

Not very recent experience, but back in 2016 I booked several of those for 10,000 miles and something like 4€ in tax, availability was pretty much wide open and all of those flights as revenue were over 100€.

Not sure about VN but you might need to compare fares when purchased inside the country of departure (that might require interface in the local language and local currency) and fares when purchased outside (like expedia.com in english and USD). There might be big differences.
