You need a refresh obviously AF is now flying CDG-UIO. Started recently (in May IIRC). It was supposed to be a Joon route when it was announced.

Best thing that happened to me

The best thing that happened to me was a couple of years ago, I was flying to Vancouver from Amsterdam economy, before the flight I was upgraded to business, great then halfway through the flight I was invited to the cockpit for a viewing.

Spent sometime in there with a nice chat from the captain, then around 40 mins before the landing i was invited into the jump seat for the landing. I have to say it was fantastic and something that will always stay with me.

Itís not, unless this is a flight to/from the US (there could be a couple of other countries also). Otherwise it is at captainís discretion.

That was my take on it after the event, but I'm guessing not.

Boarding on the flight KL1076 MAN-AMS last Wednesday, I mentioned to the pursuer that I was reaching the Platinum status with that flight.
After boarding was completed, I was offered to seat in Economy Plus, which I declined, short flight an no neighbor seating next to me.
Later, the pursuer came with a small bottle of Cava and a wish card, on a tray.

Nice celebration and thank you to that crew !

Nice gesture

Read about it, but never experienced it myself.
here we are. But everything has its own limits: delayed 30 minutes at LHR because of Bastille day. Would you mind offering water? EDIT: Same question for 60 minutes ?

Plat for 3 years, only got personal welcome once when I flew AMS-PVG recently in J. But then that senior purser did greet all J pax, he just started with plat looks like, and worked his way down the entire J cabin regularly checking his iPad, most likely status and last names.

I noticed though on most intra-EU flights, KL crew would address me by my last name while other pax only sir/madam.
