Lounge access @ AMS [using DL or KL miles]

Hello,

This year I will fly NRT - AMS - ALC with my wife and MIL and I have some questions regarding lounge access in AMS.

My trip is booked through KLM, but I have Elite Plus with Delta (Gold Medallion). I was told by Delta that if I want my MIL to enter the lounge @ NRT I could use miles to give her access (as me and my wife would access for free). What about AMS? Can I use Delta or KLM miles to give her access as my second guest?

Thank you

I don't think you can use DL miles at KL lounge in AMS. No problem using KL miles. Note that extra guests are allowed if space is available and KL lounges are very very crowded. The non-Schengen lounge is under renovation and do not even allow Elite plus guests during peak hours.

Good thing is my transfer in AMS is after peak hours so hopefully it will be OK. How many KLM miles do I need to give access to my mother in law?

Thank you!

Thank you.

There was also this:
Flying Blue Platinum, Gold, and SkyTeam Elite Plus members have free access to our KLM Crown Lounges and can bring along a guest. Flying Blue Platinum and Gold members can bring more guests at a fee.
Doesn't this mean that only Flying Blue Platinum and Gold bring more guests at a fee?

I don't think you can invite guests in the lounge in your case, I would recommend you to enquire by contacting KLM by email. If they confirm that it's possible bring the email with you as evidence in case you will have difficulties at the door.

Generally, two different questions [first question: entry by using miles; second question: entry by paying cash] require two different answers!

Does the adjusted Crown Lounge policy, due to renovations, mean that FB Silver members can not longer enter by a fee? I have a 4 hours lay-over at AMS in May on my way to PTY, and believe the non-Schengen lounge is the correct one?

Yes this makes sense. Delta answered very fast on Twitter but KLM... they really have a problem with SNS customer service. These questions should be answer really easy and fast.

OH! Well I dont mind using money or miles as long as I can get my mother in law in the lounge, I don't want to sleep in the sofa the whole week!

Are you planning on leaving your mother in law in the AMS lounge for a week while you're vacationing in Alicante? Tsk, tsk, tsk...
