Only some interesting -20% NYC, Calgary and Vancouver deals voor 93k in Business. Nothing to take a plunge into a destination just for the Promo Award. Maybe more will be posted?

Really not anything interesting among this list of so-called offers, just maybe Paramaribo (wherever that is) or Cayenne. These promo awards have gone the way of all good things.

IMHO, due to big increasing number of miles in business since several months, these promos are less interesting for long haul than a paid eco fare with miles upgrade.
Just interesting for last minute short/medium haul.

Do you mean the increasing number of miles required for a business class redemption? Or do you mean you are getting more miles for taking business class flights in recent months?

What is the increase of miles you are talking about? the minimum amount of miles needed for a business class redemption on a given route have not changed in very long time, and usually the difference between an outright redemption or buying a cheap Y ticket and upgrading with miles is around 2000-5000 miles more for a redemption.

Has it been increasing again recently? The number of miles needed for a business ticket is already beyond reasonable with Flying Blue. In fact, I would only consider using FB miles for Economy redemptions and seek to assemble a list of the most interesting possibilities.

recently not, but often many more that minimum written; for example RT in J to Japan: minimum 240.000 miles but very often 50% more..
It was the price in First not so long ago...today 640.000! only for ~1600 Ultimates

I just realized something, and confirmed it with KLM just to be sure.

Previously all European promo's were Europe 1/2/3. Now they are just 'Europe'. This means flexible pricing: The advertised price is ONLY when departing from Europe 1.

When departing from Europe 2 or 3 the price will go up by about 50%. While last year, the price was the same for all of Europe. Yet another devaluation (besides the ridiculous 20% discount...where are the 50% promo's like we used to have?).

I hadn't realised this; but weren't they always described as "Europe - (wherever)" rather than "Europe 1/2/3 - (wherever)"? So this is a very nasty and sneaky change.

About a year ago, many of the AF offers became "Paris-(wherever)" rather than just "Europe-(wherever)", though in the current batch, all AF are back to being from "Europe" (and no, I don't think it was ever just for those destinations served from ORY which would make connections from/to the rest of Europe more challenging).

I guess FB is just living up to their motto - "Generous by Nature". Having been showered with so many Freddies ([1], [2], [3]) in recent times has educated them that they were clearly being FAR too generous!

(Strangely, FB has removed the story of their successes at the Freddie Awards 2017 from their website....the link to that story can only be retrieved from archived versions of the website
