I had a similar offer last week for JFK-CDG, or maybe it was one or two hundred more. But I wouldn't do that last minute for fear that they wouldn't have the P meal loaded in time. There have been very few P pax lately. If I get that kind of an offer for CDG-JFK next time and the CDG P lounge is open, then I might do that. I think it is open now.

Hi guys! looking for a bit of advice. I'm booked to fly LHR-CDG-MEX for early December on AF Premium Eco (A), regardless of the health situation I will be 100% taking the flights and I'm really hoping for an upgrade into J. It's being offered in the MMB section as a classic award for 30,000FB miles. However, I'm slightly hesitant to let go of the miles as I'm hoping to book an award in J later in 2021. I'm really torn as to whether upgrade in advance now or wait to see what the cash options are on the day of check-in. I have flown J recently in AM (long-haul) and AF (short-haul) so I'm also concerned that could inflate the cash option. Is AF still offering Cash+miles at T-56? What would you guys do?

Thanks for your advice!!

CDG-NBO:
  • EUR 1,449 or 92700 Miles Y to J (21/28 available)
  • EUR 569 or 51300 Miles Y to W (23/24 available)

IIRC, in September W was at 350ish and J below 800...

I think those prices are yielded, so two pax on the same flight won't see the same offer (based on previous upgrades purchased, status, etc.)

QQ for the broader group: since you can book a flight without mentioning FF status, has anyone noticed *better* DOD upgrades on AFKL without linking it to your account (and retroactively credited the flight)?

Cheap econ ticket upgrade IAD-CDG in early January :
30k to Prem Eco
50k to J

Not great, but took the J offer. After flying J eastbound in August, I'm spoiled for life.......plus it's pointless to hoard miles.
