I've seen that British Airways forum as a similar post, so let's get one here.
If you want to know the different available classes for a flight, ask here and someone may be able to help you.
Provide flight number, airport code for origin - destination and the date.
Example:
AF10 - CDG-JFK - 1st of Feb 2017 / 01-02-2017

Cool Mirk! Glad to kick off, hope you can help me, i'm trying to find out if there is availability for upgrades to business class (upgrade via FB Miles) on the following flight:

AF188 on the 5th of June currently shows wide open J availability:
But in order to know if you can upgrade you will have to try on AF website or call them, that I do not think anyone here can tell you.

I'm afraid that this is really not an indication of anything, I can't remember the last time I've seen O availability on AF/KL, and yet after booking an award ticket it was issued in O.
I suspect that might have to do with the fact that award tickets (and upgrades) are issued in France, and EF/KVS do not show availability with a POS of France.
