Does this mean it has plenty of seats in economy cabin.

Yes, at least 9 seats in priciest fare classes which I believe includes Y. Only 2 left in a cheaper class K. So prices are likely on the rise as fare classes which tend to be cheaper are exhausted.

Certainly not plenty of Y seats. Only the highest fare buckets are still available. I looks like this flight will be full in Y. J is likely in overbooking mode. Only W is wide open in all fare buckets, so they can use this as a mattress to overbook Y.

Now 'point of sale' is left to manage things like cash flows distribution/ taxation management but no longer the avaialbility. My educated guess.
Today I obtained a confirmation that my guess was right. Well at least for EK and QR. In the memos to agents they specifially required that the order of segments booking matches the travel sequence (ie if you fly PAR-NYC-PAR you cannot book NYC-PAR first and then PAR-NYC, well you can but you will get an ADM).
Moreover, QR clearly mentions that availability within an existing booking and outside it may be different too.

I am sure AF/ KL is already using the same sophistication - as this is exactly what i saw when i was looking for BKK-PAR-MOW availability a month ago.

For this thread it means that you will most likely not get ANY accurate results requesting availability here for other than the outbound trip (first segment or segments if you have a cannection).

The big question now is how Expertflyer and KVS etc retrieve the information for the 'return' leg - if that is a separate GDS request, then it will not provide accurate information (my experience is that it works like this). If that comes in a single request then there is a way to get accurate availability for other than outbound trip.

Any further thoughts?

Fare buckets is only part of the story. An N bucket may contain 5 entries, but what is important are the actual N-based fares. As those have different restrictions or may not even apply to your itinerary at all. Also prices may vary depending on direction, and if a one-way or round trip base is used.

So just knowing the availability (number) for a fare class is not enough, you will also need to verify if the fare for your ticket type exists for that bucket.

First post on this marvelous forum! Looking for loads on KL 676 YEG - AMS 19/1. On the outward trip to YEG 4 seats on row 6 on the A330-200 became available only about 24 hrs before OLCI, Are these basinet seats released only then or was it a coincidence? I know BA has this policy, don't know about KL. Now in exit row 30 but in doubt for a eco+ seat other than row 6. Thanks in advance!

Hi. I'm flying from ORY to PTP on AF next friday.
Data is J - 2 C - 2 D - 1 W - 2 Y - 9 B - 9 M - 9 U - 9 K - 9 H - 9 L - 9 Q - 9 T - 9 E - 9 N - 9 R - 9 V - 9 (onward) and C - 5 D - 4 Z - 2 W - 1 Y - 9 B - 9 M - 9 U - 9 K - 9 H - 9 L - 9 Q - 8 T - 6 E - 5 N - 3 (return).
Return flight seems full, right? I just try to figure out if I get any chance of having an empty seat next to me, since AF uses 468 seats B777 on its Carribean routes :/

Anyone with access to flights when they will be operated in the next 10 days and if there is availability. Internet here in north of Yucatan is very very slow and searching is very difficult.

CUN-CDG-AMS
MEX-AMS

We are going to fly out family back to EU as MEX will probably will be hit hard too as they are totally underestimating Corona.

Appreciated!

EDIT

Found availability on MEX - AMS (Aeromexico with miles for the whole family) 19th. Hope it flies. I am on KLM but they wanted 325k miles. And AM 72k.
