ExpertFlyer or AwardNexus?

Hi guys,

I'd like to get an alert when my AF flights in economy can be upgraded when there's availability in premium eco (A booking class) or business (O booking class).

I bought an ExpertFlyer membership, but it says "The Air France Award search shows partner award inventory. Availability to Flying Blue members may be greater."

Would Award Nexus give me the actual Flying Blue availability?

Thanks!

I assume that you're talking about a paid economy ticket that you'd upgrade to premier economy or business. If that's the case, while I don't know much about the Flying Blue program, I'm pretty sure Awardnexus.com wouldn't do you any good under these circumstances. It's a good service but it only tracks award availability, not upgrades. And for most or all airline frequent flyer programs (presumably including Flying Blue), upgrades and awards are drawn from different availability buckets.

I believe classic awards and upgrade awards come from the same bucket for Flying Blue? O for business and A for premium economy

Oh, my mistake, then. I'm afraid I've reached the limit of my knowledge re this, then, so I hope someone else can help you out.

Not sure what is your question.
I find EF very useful and easy to use.
I occasionally use Awardnexus for CX award search.

Expertflyer can find O class on AF flights but not on KL flights.
The tool is easy to use, no experience with the other tool

My question was about ExpertFlyer alerts and the fact that they don't show actual Flying Blue availability, as per this message on their site:

"The Air France Award search shows partner award inventory. Availability to Flying Blue members may be greater."

If that's the case, I was wondering if AwardNexus would show the actual FB availability?

That is a bit weird.
I wonder if that statement (I could not find it on EF) is not outdated.
I think that EF gives the availability for FB members, including the expanded availability for FB elite members.

I do believe that this statement has not been updated when they moved to a more extansive search for FB awards. I think that the detailed text on
http://www.expertflyer.com/sessionlessClassList.do
Is more relevant.

I have never heard of discrepancies between EF and actual availability for FB members. There is sometimes phantom availability on FB, but it disappears at booking stage.
But I could be wrong.
