I can't find the posts about the AF flights to Tblisi at all. Maybe I just dreamed it. Or maybe it came up in the main Premium Fares forum. But it did sound interesting!

It was about 400 EUR in J when it launched but then it got expensive. I was able to find some nice deals with miles but obvs beyond the scope of this thread.

Sure but if you want to take some flights with your miles is better to fly, currently and if it still in business next month, AZ for both XP and miles.

In fact i don't understand why everyone talk only about XP and not talk about both XP and miles
Miles are still useful, not for statuts sure but for flight in business or in la Premire miles are crucial

miles have become a nice addon - nothing more.
when you look at the devaluation that has happened with dynamic pricing and revenue based mileage earning on AF/KL - to earn a first class award or upgrade on AF you have to spend tons of cash to get the necessary miles. often it might be cheaper to buy cheapish F-fares than to rely on miles. same goes with business class tickets. there are so many sales out there and it might be cheaper to buy a cheap business class ticket than to buy it with miles.

Kenya Airways business class roundtrip from JNB to Europe - from 818€ - cheapest route seems to be to ZRH. Routing JNB-NBO-AMS-CDG-ZRH is possible

Kenya Airways Addis Abeba to Italy, via Nairobi, could be found a few weeks ago for less than 750, and you could even fly the long hauls in AF or KLM.

If you forgo the connection in Paris the price is 790 euro. Too bad it's only ex-JNB and not ex-ZRH.

Well these are good, but the problem for most of us is that the start point is in an unrealistic location. Unless you just happen to be in S Africa and might need to go there again and can quickly adjust your travel plans. Having said that, I would prefer that these offers are highlighted than not.

Af/kl bud-tpe $1,595/1,429 (o) excellent XP gaining value ... thinking about booking that one - still have a 350€ travel voucher from AF/KL which comes handy.

Concerto, your post made me laugh, is is true that some of the starting points are very unrealistic.

I go to Ethiopia a couple of times per year so I can take advantage of some of the Kenyan airways deals but having said that, making ADD-NAI-PAR/AMS-Italy and afterwards Italy-BCN, it is a bit crazy also.

The day I book it I am very happy but when the day to fly gets closer, I think that I made a big mistake.

I'll try to route it through HKG/PVG both ways which would add another 30XP ...

but if you claim you are entitled to 30XP, your transit in PVG may be more painful than expected
