Hello everyone,

from 0 to gold from September 21st to November 21st I was on the following route:
NUE-AMS-CDG-AMS-NUE every two weeks on Saturday for 149 euros. Starting in December, the route will be on the track once a month, but I would like to achieve the platinum level by autumn of next year.

Greetings from Germany

Thorsten

No, miles of elite members do not expire. This includes PFL and C2000. Of course most elites outside those categories require flight activity to keep their levels up.

Source: I am a former "PFL" back when member level could be shared with the FB Amex.

These gift cards have a 12 month expiry

I'm sure this won't be a problem for most people, but I mention because they don't give this information upfront

Next Sunday 06:00 KRK-AMS seems to be full of XP runners? 5 rows and always a single seat taken (10 people so far).
Maybe I see some of you. Hopefully not further restrictions coming in the next days.

Finally I've started loading up the trip report of my XP run to Krakow and Helsinki in late October. Sorry it's taken so long, but these things are really quite time consuming. So, the text is done and I just have to load it up along with a selection of photos. There will be 21 chapters and I will try to load a chapter a day. Here's a link to the first post:

Exclamation warning = new rules in poland from December 15th

Hi

for those of you flying to/through poland , there are new restrictions starting from December 15th

statement from minister of health = "from December 15, before the arrival to Poland from outside the Schengen area, a test will be made not earlier than 24 hours before crossing the border" (translated from polish)

The tests can be RT-PCR or antigen , but it needs to be done 24h before arriving in poland , regardless if vaccinated or not

Also be aware of reduction of the occupancy limit in restaurants, bars and hotels to 30 percent , so be sure to have B plan , in case your booking might be cancelled , it apply only for non vaccinated people

For vaccinated people , you will need your certificate to enter bars and restaurants , meanwhile clubs are closed from december 15th

Now the 2 big questions =
.
  1. does it apply for passengers who connect through schengen flights before arriving to poland ??
  2. Will they control only passengers coming from non-schengen flights ??
.
Now its a mess , cause due to covid in warsaw you have to go upstairs after each flight and pass that filter where they check your documents , which is right after passport control in level 1, so you find yourself in huge queues with paxs from all flights (best thing to do to avoid risks while asking people to follow rules) and add an extra 4 minutes to exit airport

In krakow not sure how its implemented as i fly domestic only there

In KRK, there is always control of docs on arrival just before entering the baggage area. All it means is that they will have to check covid test documents in addition to checking vaccination documents; I suspect it will lengthen queues with one additional document to check but process should remain the same, just a little longer to complete.

KRK run has been here for at least 2 years, same for the former 90 XP BLL, VNO, OSL run... (2018 ish)
