At least you are getting an extra hour sleep with the change to winter time.

I am growing so tired of the early morning departure to CDG so I tried to change to the flight to CDG that leave the night before which is nearly empty but evidently that is not possible since they cannot rebook my flights from CDG-AMS-KRK as they are sold out, or can they just change the ONE flight either 😄😄 so while AF is seemingly gly flexible they are very ridgid in their rules still... oh well I guess its either a 3am wake up or go to the airport hotel 😄😄 MR life got to love it

yeah, I'm already away from home (not for XP runs, thankfully) almost all weekends until mid-november so I'm trying to make this run as short as possible ^^ already booked it indeed.

I know it’s blasphemous to ask on this thread but what benefits make it worthwhile to fly an extra 120XP to bump from Gold to Platinum? AF is not like BA or many US airlines where top tier status earns Intl upgrade certificates. Now I’ll duck as folks throw stuff at me. LoL

A legitimate question!
Honestly, unless you aim for Plat for Life (in which case being Platinum is kind of important), or fly KL long haul all the time and like Eco Comfort seats, I'd say Platinum has zero advantages over Gold.

Wow that would be a awesome share, too bad EU has not given equal rights to all to get credit cards throughout the EU 😄😄 we only have AX plat and AY mastercard here...

There is one more advantage for Plat over Gold. Due to soft landing you could earn 0XP one year, and still only fall back to Gold. Meaning you don't lose any of the important benefits (like Lounge access).

Additionally...for every Euro spent on AFKL you get an extra mile (When spending 5K euro a year would earn 5K extra miles, meaning about 50 euros worth of points). And of course if flying economy you can book Eco Comfort for free - which is about a 100 euro value for each KLM long haul flight.
